Czechoslovakia is still in development and is not available in the current release of D-day (v3.7).

The nation of Czechoslovakia was born from the ashes of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after World War I, the nation's roots can be traced much further back to the 12th century Duchy of Bohemiain though. During World War I the area that became Czechoslovakian was the industrial heart of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, producing weapons and ammunition for the Central Powers.

In peace time the newly formed Czech nation would make use of this industrial base and continue producing military equipment for the export market. This included tractors for Turkey, artillery for Romania, fighter planes for Bulgaria and hundreds of thousands of small arms that were sold to countries all over the world. Czechoslovakia's most well know military export was the TNH light tank, which was one of the most advanced tanks in the world at that time. It was bought by several different countries around the world ranging from Peru in South America, Iran in the Middle East and Sweden in Northern Europe.
In the 1930s, Adolf Hitler began pushing for the unification of all German-speaking peoples, including those within the Czech Sudetenland. Britain and France hoping to avoid war at all costs forced Czechoslovakia to give in to Hitler's demands, handing over parts of north west Czechoslovakia to Germany as part of the Munich Agreement.

British Minister Chamberlain famously declared the agreement had secured "peace for our time," in reality the Allies appeasement towards Hitler only emboldened him and 5 months later German forces invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia.

The western region of Czechoslovakia was annexed into German as the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, while the eastern region was formed into the newly created German puppet sate of Slovakia.
After the German invasion Czechoslovakia's military equipment and anything being produced for export to other countries was confiscated and incorporated into the Germany army. This greatly increased Germany's armed forces and roughly 25% of the tanks used in the German invasion of France were of Czech origin.

Czechoslovakia continued to produce the TNH light tank for Germany as the Panzer 38(t) along with several other variants including the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer. Czechoslovakian factories also produced parts for German equipment and also acted as a repair hub for damaged vehicles brought back from the eastern front.

While Czech factories were put to work for the German war effort there was also an active resistance movement inside Czechoslovakia that preformed acts of sabotage and assassinations against the Germans. The most famous of which was the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich who was acting governor of the Czech region and one of the architects of the Holocaust.

At the end of World War II Czechoslovakia once again became an independent democratic country and held elections in 1946. The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (The KSC) won the most votes and formed a coalition government. The KSC gradually tightened their grip over the country installing communist members to positions with in the police and army. In 1948 several democratic ministers resigned in protest over these actions, the KSC used this as an opportunity to launched a coup and consolidated their power, turning Czechoslovakia into a single party communist state.
The Czech factories that were used to produce military equipment for the Germans during World War II survived the war largely intact. Production of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) was restarted, 250 were built for the Czech army and 150 were sold to Switzerland as the G13. A modified version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 known as the Avia S-199 was also put back into production and sold to Israel.

Plans were made up to start production of several brand new Czech designed tanks and planes. The Soviet Union fearing competition on the export market and also wanting to standardize equipment across the Warsaw Pact countries put pressure on Czechoslovakia's communist government to only produce Soviet designs. Czech factories went on to produce several thousand T-34 and Su-100 tanks that were then sold to other Warsaw Pact members and Soviet allies around the world.
